Does your pet have what it takes to win the d’Art Center’s 8th Annual Great American Family Dog & Cat Photo Contest?  There’s only one way to find out:  enter this contest by July 30, 2011.

Winners will be named in several categories, including Best Smile, Most Patriotic, Best Action Shot, Best Buddy Photo, and more.

Remember to include a $5 entry fee for each photo you submit.  And here’s the catch:  the photos must be “hard copies” – no digital files will be accepted.  Also, professional photographers need not apply – this one’s for the regular Joes and Janes out there.

The winners will be announced at the Family Party and Pet Parade on August 6th (10 AM to Noon) and prizes will be awarded.

For complete details, including a registration form and mailing address, visit the d’Art Center’s website.  Even if you don’t win, your pet’s photo may still be featured in the d’Art Center’s photo exhibit from August  6 – 31st.  Good luck and let me know if your dog’s or cat’s photo wins!  ~~  Jen
