This Saturday, April 20th, celebrate Earth Day and the animals that share our planet at the Virginia Zoo! Enjoy animal presentations on the ZooLive! stage, chat with Zoo staff while learning about eco-friendly enrichment for the animals and learn how you can support conservation here and abroad. 

This year, the Zoo welcomes Brian Badger from the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF). Brian’s aim is to enlighten people from around the world on the workings and goals of front line conservation. Hear his about his holistic approach to conservation in an exciting 30-minute presentation at the ZooLive! Stage at 11 am.

Virginia World Of Pets Expo

“The World of Pets Expo and Educational Experience takes place February 15-17, 2019 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center, in Hampton. World of Pets Expo is a cornerstone event for East Coast pet enthusiasts and animal lovers alike. This year will mark the 7th anniversary of the Virginia World of Pets Expo; we continue to grow our Virginia show and are expecting a record breaking turnout this year. This exciting three day expo is one of Virginia’s only family and pet friendly events that is fun for all ages; it is considered the Ultimate Event for the Pet Lover.”

Thursday, August 23rd: Cocktails & Conservation
Take your networking to the next level. Specifically, with cheetahs!Join the Virginia Zoo at Cocktails & Conservation for a night of education, drinks and socializing with the area’s top professionals. The special attraction of the night will be three 3-month old cheetah ambassadors making an appearance after a fascinating presentation from Mary Wykstra, Director of Action for Cheetahs in Kenya, about the species in the wild and measures taken to protect their future.

Saturday, August 25th: Bowling For Rhinos (at Pinboys in VB)
Come help us strike out extinction at Tidewater AAZK’s Bowling for Rhinos! It will be a fun evening including bowling, a silent auction, door prizes and more! Bring your family and friends to this all ages event and contribute to international rhino conservation!

Friday, August 31st: Zoovies Feat. “Zootopia”
Join the Zoo for a night the whole family will roar about! Bring the kiddos or your friends to Zoovies, an outdoor movie night at the Virginia Zoo. This month we feature Zootopia, a comedic animal tale that is fun for all ages.

Join us (along with some of Splash's mascot pals) at Noon on Saturday, March 28 for some refreshments, face painting and entertainment. 1 kid will be admitted free per paying adult until Noon. No other discounts apply.
