This snow business is getting old.

This is the snowdrift measurement in front of Little Creek Veterinary Clinic early this morning. (More snow has fallen since.)

That’s about 17.25 inches of snow in front of the porch.

Dr. Miele, a Norfolk veterinarian, will be out of the office this week, as driving conditions remain hazardous. All appointments will be rescheduled.

Meanwhile, if you’re thinking you wish you had a cat to snuggle with on snowy days like this, you’re in luck. A local family must re-home their four cats, due to a change in their living quarters.

The cats do not all have to go to the same home, although two of them are buddies. One cat in particular should go to a home with no other pets.

Please TEXT the owner with your phone number and which cat you’re interested in, and he will call you back. Serious inquiries only, please. Cats will not be shipped and must go directly to an actual home (not a lab or reseller.) Send your text to: 586-770-9962.

UPDATE: WE are happy to report this pet has been returned to its owner.

(photo removed)

According to the owner, someone entered the home in the Azalea Garden Road / Norview area, on Tuesday, August 23rd and walked out with this Yorkie dog, “Chico.”

The stolen dog, which has been reported to Norfolk Police, is a neutered male (bearing a green neuter tattoo on its abdomen), nearly 4 years old, weighing 6 lbs.

The owner reports that the dog has a “bad haircut” with 4 bald patches on his body.

If you know of someone who has recently acquired a Yorkie dog matching this description, be aware that this person may be in possession of a stolen pet.

The person who took “Chico” was likely watching the house when it happened, as the owner had just taken the dog out for a walk moments before.
