You’ve probably heard of PSI’s Take Your Dog To Work Day — after all, it’s been around since 1999. But did you know this special day was founded by Pet Sitters International? I guess someone decided they needed a day off!
In reality, Take Your Dog To Work Day was created by PSI to celebrate the great companions dogs make and to encourage their adoption.

• 50 million believe having pets in the workplace helps co-workers get along better.
• 38 million believe having pets in the workplace creates a more productive work environment.
• 37 million believe having pets in the workplace helps improve relationships between managers and their employees.
Take Your Dog To Work Day has proven popular throughout the years, which is why it has such staying power. Thousands of employers have welcomed many different sizes and breeds of dogs into their businesses over the years.
